Palacio will apparently move to the Beneamata for a transfer fee of around €11m. He could have his medical and complete a switch by the end of this week.

The former Boca Juniors forward has scored 19 goals in 32 League games this season.

The 30-year-old was targeted by the San Siro giants last summer, but all bids were rejected and Genoa handed him a new contract until 2014 instead.
