The Argentine will come up against his former club on Sunday as the Nerazzurri look to bounce back from last term’s ninth placed finish in the Italian top flight.

“I haven’t sent any messages to any of my ex-teammates, but it will be a special game for me,” the forward told Sky Sport Italia.

“I left behind many friends and enjoyed some great seasons there, but now I'm entirely focused on Inter.

“We can’t fail on Sunday,” he underlined. “We have to play a good match and show that we can be a contender.”

The 31-year-old, 38 goals in 100 games for the Grifone, netted 12 in 26 League games for the Beneamata last term.
