“It was right not to reveal anything out of respect for the lad and his little boy,” said general manager Pietro Leonardi.
“He was prepared to stay on and play, but we decided to give him leave to stay close to his family at this difficult time.
“We hope he can return relaxed and ready, thanks also to our affection.”
