Pablo Daniel Osvaldo believes he and Mario Balotelli form a good strike partnership for the Italian national side.
The duo started alongside each other in last night’s friendly with Uruguay which ended in a 1-0 defeat for the Azzurri.
“I think Balotelli and I worked well together,” the Roma striker, born in Argentina, noted at the Stadio Olimpico. “We linked up a lot.
“I was just disappointed after my substitution that I hadn’t managed to score, but I think that I had a good game.”
Cesare Prandelli is looking for a new strike force after losing Antonio Cassano and Giuseppe Rossi for differing fitness reasons.
“It was a game of one-way traffic,” Osvaldo added when questioned on the friendly as a whole. “We did alright.
“The only thing that we were missing was a goal, but in terms of the football we play I think that we are one of the strongest sides in the world.”
