Dani Osvaldo could be heading back to Europe this summer, as the former Italy striker is linked with Rennes.

The 30-year-old centre-forward is currently a free agent after short-lived spells at Southampton, Juventus, Inter, Boca Juniors and Porto.

According to French sources L’Equipe and Ouest-France, Stade Rennais are in talks to bring in the ‘enfant terrible.’

He is ready to sign a one-year contract with an option to extend for another season.
