New Juventus signing Dani Osvaldo has admitted that the Italian game suits him much better, bemoaning ‘physical’ England.

The striker has joined the Bianconeri on loan from Southampton until the end of the season, and has conceded that he struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League.

“I struggled in England and wasn’t really able to adapt,” he told JTV.

“It’s a very physical type of game, with really tough tackling. More attention is paid to tactics and technique in Italy and Spain and I find it suits me a lot better.

“I struggled a bit here in the first few training sessions, also because there’s a lot of running involved with the Coach, but it’s just a question of getting used to things.

“Conte’s a phenomenon. He’s extremely prepared and demands a great deal, but the results are there for all to see.

“Everything’s magnificent here, from the training ground in Vinovo to the club itself. You immediately realise you’ve joined the biggest Italian club and one of the finest in Europe.

“It’s a dream to be at Juventus and I want the dream to continue. And then there’s the World Cup, a competition I’m determined to be involved in.”

The goalscorer then commented on trying to break into the first team with Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez ahead of him, and the fight for the title.

“Fernando is an extremely good player and a top guy. Tevez? I’m a boyhood Boca fan and when I was in Argentina I paid to go and watch him play. It’s now fantastic to be in the same team as him.

Roma are a great team and play decent football, they’ll give us a good run for our money. Every game will be tough for us, because all the others give that little bit extra when they line up against Juventus.

“How do I know? I’m speaking from experience, when I faced them as an opponent I was extremely motivated.

“It’s exactly how Verona will be on Sunday – we’ll be in for a difficult game against a quality side. These are the hurdles you need to overcome if you want to win the Scudetto.”
