The Old Lady defeated the Nerazzurri 2-0 in Turin on Sunday, but the 1982 World Cup winner saw glimpses of life at his former club.

“I saw a great Inter for an hour,” the ex-midfielder underlined. “I saw the spirit of a great side and it doesn’t seem to me that the difference between us and Juve is 18 points.”

Inter are currently in eighth place in the League and 10 points behind the last remaining Champions League spot.

They’ve had an inconsistent campaign, not aided by the fact that they, according to Oriali, have struggled too much defensively.

“Inter have conceded 38 goals this season and that is an enormity,” he underlined.

While Juve have the best defensive record in the League, only six more teams have let in more goals than the Nerazzurri.
