Lazio have insisted that they will only consider selling Sergej Milinkovic-Savic if an ‘indecent proposal’ comes their way.

Milinkovic-Savic was speculated to be his way to Paris Saint-Germain in an €80m deal, but Lazio quickly denied the report.

Now, sporting director Igli Tare has followed up on his initial rebuttal.

“It’s not difficult to answer the question of whether he’ll stay: he only extended his contract a few months ago,” he was quoted as saying by Sport Mediaset.

“Then, in today's world, if any indecent proposals come in, they can be taken into consideration, but the player and club are happy to continue together.”

The Albanian was then asked whether he had any regrets about turning down Milan earlier in the summer.

“I don’t think refusing Milan will affect my career. There were no conditions me to join them.

“I’ve been at Lazio for 15 years and I stayed out of my love for them. I was honoured that Boban and Maldini showed interest in me.

“We respected each other on the field as opponents and also later as directors. I had the opportunity to talk to both of them and I realised Milan were their lives.

“They accepted my ‘no’ with great respect. They knew it would be difficult for me to take that step.”
