Genoa have reportedly decided to back boss Gigi Del Neri despite picking up just three points from a possible 24.

The tactician replaced Gigi De Canio in October, but the Rossoblu have won only once and lost seven under the former Juventus boss.

Reports yesterday suggested that the 4-4-2 tactician could be shown the door after the 2-0 loss at Pescara. There were also rumours of a changing room row at the end of the Stadio Adriatico reverse.

“I’m not even thinking about changing Coach,” Genoa chief Enrico Preziosi told Primo Canale Sport. “And it is not true what is being said about what happened in the changing rooms.”

Preziosi is understood to have discussed Del Neri’s future with son Matteo Preziosi and Genoa sporting director Rino Foschi on Monday.

Reports suggest that they are ready to give Del Neri another chance  with a game against Torino coming up next weekend.
