“We have to hope for a great performance, we prepared very well for moments like this,” assured Onana on Inter TV.

“The tension is always high when representing Inter, but we are used to it. We can’t wait to get out there and play.”

Benfica are unbeaten in the Champions League so far this season, dropping points only in 1-1 draws both home and away with Paris Saint-Germain, topping a group that saw Juventus bumped down to third.

However, they are fresh from a 2-1 home defeat domestically against rivals FC Porto.

“We need the team spirit that we showed against Porto and Barcelona, this is what makes the difference,” added the goalkeeper.

“We’ve already proved that we are a team who give their best in the tough games, so I am confident. It’s a difficult stadium to play in, we know it won’t be easy, but we are prepared.”
