Olympique Marseille are considering making a move for Rick Karsdorp and could open talks with Roma in the coming days, reports suggest.

The 28-year-old Dutch full back did not have an easy season last term, falling out with coach Jose Mourinho following a 1-1 draw with Sassuolo on November 9. He was frozen out of the squad for the following eight Serie A matches but was brought back in by mid-February.

Unfortunately for Karsdorp, he only appeared in four league games for Roma after his reintroduction to the squad before he suffered a knee injury, ending his season almost three months early.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport via TMW, Marseille have now emerged to register their interest in Karsdorp and they could contact Roma to start negotiating a possible deal.

The 28-year-old Dutchman, who is not a part of Mourinho’s project in the Italian capital, has two years left on his contract with the Giallorossi.
