Milan have placed Torino and Italy defender Angelo Ogbonna at the top of their wish list to replace Thiago Silva.

The Rossoneri’s Brazilian centre-back seems increasingly likely to join Paris-Saint Germain in a big-money deal, giving Milan plenty of room to manoeuvre in the transfer market to find a replacement.

Ogbonna excelled last season in Serie B with Torino and has drawn admiring glances from several top-flight clubs, despite his team’s promotion.

The Rossoneri could now be set to move for the 24-year-old, pairing him with Philippe Mexes at centre-back for next season in place of the departing Thiago Silva.

The only issue could be Torino’s alleged asking price of €20m as their prized asset signed a new contract until 2016 in February.

Ogbonna is currently with the Italy squad at Euro 2012 so any proposed deal will have to wait until after the tournament.
