“Valencia Club de Fútbol have completed the signing of Simone Zaza on loan from Juventus until the end of the season,” read a statement.

“The player passed a medical with the club and signed his contract on Sunday. The agreement will see him become a Valencia CF player until the conclusion of the 2016/17 campaign, with an option to buy.

“The Italian international forward will be officially presented on Monday at 1:15pm, at the Ciudad Deportiva Media Centre in Paterna.”

It’s reported the option to buy will be activated either after 10 appearances or if the club avoids relegation from La Liga.

He was in the stands today to watch his side beat Espanyol at the Mestalla.

“Simone Zaza (born June 25th, 1991, in Policoro) has been capped 16 times by the Italian national team and has extensive experience in his homeland.

“He is a product of the Atalanta BC youth system, and debuted for the club's first team in the 2008/2009 season. The striker would go on to play at UC Sampdoria, spend loan spells at Juve Stabia and Viareggio, and feature for Sassuolo and Juventus in Italy.

“With the latter club, Zaza won the Serie A title, one Coppa Italia and the Italian Supercoppa.”

Zaza had been at West Ham United in a similar loan deal for the first six months of the season, but was sent back to base before the clause could be activated.
