Lazio announce Mattia Zaccagni sustained a muscular injury during their last match against Cagliari and his recovery time is still unknown.
“The medical staff announces that during Lazio-Cagliari, Mattia Zaccagni reported a distracting trauma to the iliopsoas muscle of the left thigh,” the club’s statement read.
“He was immediately subjected to the investigation and treatment of the case. In the next few days, clinical and instrumental monitoring will be carried out to assess his recovery time.”
Zaccagni joined Lazio from Verona for €10m on the deadline day.
Due to his injury, he is expected to miss the Biancocelesti’s upcoming match against Torino on Thursday and the Rome derby on Sunday.
