The Adil Rami saga is over, as he has now officially completed the transfer from Valencia to Milan.

Just 24 hours ago the entire move had seemed to collapse, but overnight negotiations continued and Valencia accepted the €4.25m spread over three instalments.

Milan released a statement this morning confirming Rami is now their player on a permanent basis, signing a contract until June 30 2017.

Adriano Galliani confirmed the French defender took a pay cut of €0.5m to help the move go through, as Milan were only prepared to pay €3.75m.

He arrived at San Siro in January and his original buy-out clause was worth €7m.

Rami also helped push the transfer via rants against Valencia President Amadeo Salvo on Twitter.
