“I chose PSG ahead of Chelsea because I needed a team that would suit my characteristics,” he explained.

“I also knew that for my development I would need to play regular first team football, so I have more chance of that in Paris.”

According to L'Equipe, he won't be able to play until early September, as he has just returned from vacation and Copa America duty.

Pastore has chosen shirt number 27 and will be in the stands for tonight's Ligue 1 opener against Lorient.

He'll be accompanied by director general, and former Inter Coach, Leonardo.
