Official: Palermo release Daprela

Palermo have confirmed that Fabio Daprela’s contract has been torn-up by mutual consent.

The Swiss Under-21 international has made just one Serie A start this season, and has played 150 minutes in total.

“U.S Citta di Palermo confirms that Fabio Daprela’s contract has been terminated by mutual consent,” a short statement on the Rosanero’s website announced.

The 24-year-old is expected to join Carpi on a free transfer before the end of the January transfer window.

The Biancorossi would be Daprela’s third Italian club if he does indeed sign, having also represented Brescia after moving to Italian football from West Ham United in 2010.
