Genoa are set to appoint Sean Sogliano as their new sporting director, after receiving clearance from the Lega Serie A.
The director was sacked by Carpi earlier this season, and under League rules a person cannot be sporting director for two clubs in one season.
However, this afternoon the Lega has confirmed in a statement that it has granted the Grifone permission to appoint Sogliano.

“The President of the Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie A, by virtue of the powers outlined in article 11.4c of the statutes, has authorised Genoa Cricket & Football Club to appoint Mr Sean Sogliano, who resolved his contract with Carpi FC 1909 on November 3, 2015.”
