Milan have officially announced the appointment of Stefano Cocirio as the club’s new Chief Financial Officer.

A dual national of Italy and Great Britain, Cocirio joined Elliott Management in 2015, where he worked with the Rossoneri as an Associate Portfolio Manager.

A member of Milan’s board of directors since 2018, Cocirio left the American fund in 2022 to stay with the Serie A side, joining on with Gerry Cardinale and RedBird’s project.

Cocirio, who’ll report directly to CEO Giorgio Furlani, will help coordinate the club’s financial management and investment.

Last year, Elliott Management agreed to sell Milan to Cardinale’s RedBird for around $1.2 billion, cashing in after a positive four-year spell in charge. The new owners are looking to build upon the foundations laid by their predecessors and are actively working to build the club’s new home.

Milan will be desperate to secure a top four finish and Champions League football this season, giving them far more resources to work with in the summer transfer window.
