Milan have announced that they have officially completed the signing of Argentinian midfielder Luka Romero on a free transfer.

The diminutive 18-year-old has signed a four-year deal, which commits his future to San Siro for until the summer of 2027.

Romero was snapped up by the Rossoneri following the expiry of his contract with Lazio, where he made fourteen Serie A appearances, scoring one goal over the course of the last two seasons.

Born in Mexico to Argentinian parents, Romero moved to Spain at the age of three, where he spent his youth football career split between the academies of Sant Jordi and Mallorca, the latter he represented seven times in LaLiga before switching to Lazio in 2021.

It has been confirmed in an official club statement that Romero will wear the no. 18 shirt during his first season with the Rossoneri.

Romero becomes Milan’s third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea and goalkeeper Marco Sportiello from Atalanta.
