Georgios Kyriakopoulos has officially joined Monza from Sassuolo, while the Neroverdi will replace him with Matias Vina and Empoli secure Giuseppe Pezzella from Parma.

There is a merry-go-round of full-backs going on in Serie A this week and the first move has been made this evening.

Sassuolo officially sent Kyriakopoulos on loan to Monza with an option to buy at the end of the season, which could become an obligation if certain conditions are met.

“I am very happy, as Monza play good football and I really like the style of their coach,” Kyriakopoulos told reporters.

This is only the start, as Sassuolo will replace him with Matias Vina arriving from Roma in a similar deal, a loan with option to buy that can be made into an obligation.

Meanwhile, Empoli have secured a deal worth €1m for Parma full-back Pezzella.

He replaces Fabiano Parisi, who has already been sold to Fiorentina in a deal worth €10m plus €1m in bonuses.
