Juventus announce they have completed the sale of midfielder Denis Zakaria to AS Monaco in a deal worth €20m.

The deal had been in the works for several weeks and the official figures show the transfer fee of €20m will be paid over four instalments.

The 26-year-old had also been linked with West Ham United, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and RC Lens over the summer.

He had spent last season on loan at Chelsea, who did not take up their option to make the move a permanent one.

Juve purchased the Switzerland international in January 2022 from Borussia Monchengladbach at a cost of €10.1m.

However, he made only 15 competitive appearances for the Old Lady, contributing one goal and one assist.

Zakaria has 49 senior caps for Switzerland, in which he scored three goals.

The statement released by Juventus also confirms that between agents commission, solidarity contributions and a portion of the sell-on fee, the Bianconeri generate a €4.6m profit from the sale.
