Juventus have officially extended their contract with Nicolò Fagioli until 2026 and he could start this weekend in Serie A against Sassuolo.

The 21-year-old is a product of their youth academy and has been at the club since 2015, going through various levels including the Under-23 side.

He flourished while on loan at Cremonese last season, proving instrumental in their promotion from Serie B in second place.

Fagioli contributed three goals and seven assists in 33 appearances.

His contract with Juventus was due to expire next summer, so the new deal to June 2026 ensures the Bianconeri don’t risk losing him as a free agent.

There are also reports the Italy Under-21 international will be thrown into the starting XI by coach Max Allegri for the opening Serie A match of the season against Sassuolo.

He has a shortage of options, as Paul Pogba is injured, Adrien Rabiot suspended – and on the verge of a move to Manchester United – while Arthur Melo is not part of Juve’s plans.
