Juventus have officially announced that centre-back Gleison Bremer has renewed his contract with the club in a new, long-term deal that will run until the summer of 2028.

The Brazilian has been instrumental to Massimiliano Allegri and his staff over the course of the last two seasons, and has become almost ubiquitous for the Bianconeri in the 2023-24 campaign.

This season, the 26-year-old has collected over 1,500 minutes of action in Serie A, starting in all 17 of the Old Lady’s league fixtures so far this season, and has only been replaced on one of those occasions so far.

Bremer had already agreed to a five-year deal when he joined Juve from cross-city rivals Torino in the summer of 2022. He has now agreed to add another year to that commitment, less than 18 months after his original signing.

It is expected that Bremer will receive an adjustment in his annual salary, although no figures have yet been confirmed. It is believed that he had been taking home a yearly sum in the region of €5.5m-€6m before the contract extension.

The new deal is expected to be of benefit to Juventus as well as the player, as a longer contract will help the club to spread Bremer’s amortised cost over a longer period, which is good news for the Bianconeri accounting department.

Recent reports suggest that Juventus will continue to look for new deals for other important first-team figures, including the likes of Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic.
