Inter announce that exams undergone by Marcelo Brozovic in the morning showed ‘no fitness issues.’

The Croatia international was forced off the pitch in the second half of Inter’s 1-0 win over Liverpool on Tuesday night. He was feared to have suffered a calf injury, but Inter ruled out a severe issue for the 29-year-old.

“Marcelo Brozovic was examined by the club’s medical staff this morning. No fitness issues were detected,” a club statement read.

This means that the Croatia international could be available for the upcoming Serie A clash against Torino on Sunday. Brozovic has been a key player for the Nerazzurri this term and has missed only two games out of 39 because of suspensions.

  1. Inter fans, be forever grateful your team is quite literally immune to injuries. It’s astonishing, especially considering Conte and inzaghi have used the same starting 11 in every match, but not one major injury these past three years. Look at Juve, Milan, and Napoli– so many injuries!
What’s your secret to keeping everyone fit???? More “special” coffee, perhaps? 😉

  2. Vlahohic, I can see you only follow Inter as a casual. We have had major injuries to Sanchez, Correa, Sensi, all season long. The man we signed in January, Gosens, only made his first appearance in the last week. Earlier this year we lost a player, you might know him, named Christian Eriksen, to one of the most serious injuries ever witnessed in football.

Who is it that you are so desperate to see get injured? Brozo, Barella, Lautaro? Skriniar?

  3. The difference is when Inter get injuries other have stepped up and provide the much needed cover. Also the fact that Inter play with a defined system which I think teams like Milan who plays purely on emotions so run like crazy and always on risky challenges and Juve who have injury prone players as their key players.
