Inter have officially announced that Socios will no longer be the club’s main shirt sponsor, making way for Digitalbits.
The Nerazzurri became partners with the Cryptocurrency exchange last summer and they began promoting the $INTER fan token on their shirt. This proved to be a controversial decision as the value of fan tokens began to plummet across the course of the season, meaning a replacement sponsor was clearly needed.
As announced in LinkedIn, Digitalbits will now replace Socios as the main sponsor on the Inter shirts from the 2022-23 season until the 2024-25 campaign. Socios will remain Global Sponsor Advertising Rights for an annual fee of €1m and they’ll continue sharing revenues generated from the sale and trading of the fan tokens.
Inter famously replaced tyre brand Pirelli as the shirt sponsor with Socios last year, upsetting many Nerazzurri fans who felt as if the Pirelli logo was a key element to the shirts.

Only thing worse than a crypto sponsor is a sport betting sponsor.
