Atalanta must prepare to face Juventus without Josip Ilicic after he lost his appeal to have a two-match ban revoked.

The forward was sent off in the first half during a match with Cagliari on November 3 and subsequently missed the goalless draw at Sampdoria before the international break.

The Dea decided to appeal the decision, in the hope that the Slovenia international would return against Juventus this weekend.

However, the FIGC’s appeals court has now officially upheld the previous decision, meaning the 31-year-old will not be available.
