As expected, Milan target Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed a new improved contract with the LA Galaxy and remains in MLS.

The Sweden international veteran had been in negotiations for a transfer back to San Siro, but Rossoneri director Leonardo had confessed those talks were off after the Galaxy agreed to make him a designated player, which effectively shatters the previous salary cap.

“We are very pleased to sign Zlatan to a new contract that will see him return for the 2019 season,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese.

In 2018, Ibrahimovic scored 22 goals with 10 assists in just 27 MLS Regular Season appearances, but they failed to make the post season.
