Empoli have officially confirmed that Giuseppe Iachini has been appointed as their new Coach, replacing Aurelio Andreazzoli.
The Tuscan side yesterday sacked the man won them promotion last season, on the day of his 65th birthday.
It was immediately reported that Iachini would be appointed to replace him, having kept Sassuolo up last season.
“Empoli FC announces that it has entrusted the technical guidance of the first team to Giuseppe Iachini,” a statement on the club’s website begins.
