Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has renewed his contract with the club until 2021.

Amidst interest from Chelsea and Manchester City, the 29-year-old took to his Twitter account to break the news.

“I have renewed until 2021! I chose the place where I became great among the greats. I have only one objective, to keep winning!”

The contract is thought to bring the player in line with other top earners at the club with a reported salary of €4.5m per season plus bonuses.

Calciomercato.com report that this means the defender has almost tripled his salary in less than two years.

The Viterbo native has become the third player to renew with the Bianconeri this week, with extensions for Daniele Rugani and Stefano Sturaro having already been announced.
