“I’d say it was the first 45 minutes with Milan doing decidedly better than us, so I probably made a mistake by introducing new ideas,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“In the second half, we moved back to our usual system and did much better. The red card also helped, but in these situations you need to be sharp and clear-headed. The result is a fair one.

“Obviously, a dismissal changes a game, but we were already moving very well and could’ve scored a second goal, but I don’t know if that would’ve been fair, as Milan were so much better in the first half.

“We’re in the running for the Europa League places because the gap from the teams ahead of us isn’t very big at all. We like to dream.”
