Nigeria have named their 23-man squad for the 2018 World Cup, including Joel Obi and Crotone striker Simy.

The Super Eagles will be in the same group as Argentina, Croatia and Iceland.

There are two Serie A figures going to Russia, but Torino midfielder Obi was expected.

Simy – full name Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo – is a surprise addition to the side, as he is yet to make his debut for Nigeria.

He was on remarkable form in the final months of the Serie A season, scoring seven goals, six of them in the last eight games.
