Alessandro Florenzi, who can play on the right side of defence or in midfield is also sidelined as he recovers from a cruciate ligament injury.

Today it has been confirmed that a fourth right-back has picked up an injury, giving Eusebio Di Francesco a headache for this weekend’s Inter game.

“On Tuesday defender Nura Abdullahi left training after suffering an injury to his right leg,” a statement on the Lupi’s website begins.

“Medical tests conducted on Wednesday morning revealed evidence of a muscle injury/tendon issue in the femoral biceps of the right thigh.

“His recovery is expected to take betwen six and eight weeks.”

It’s therefore likely that Juan Jesus will be forced to deputise at right-back against his former club.
