The newly-promoted side have stuttered so far this season and are yet to keep a clean sheet, but also scored only 17 goals in 16 games.

According to Tuttosport, the primary transfer target is Chievo benchwarmer Paloschi, who is still co-owned by Milan.

He was already linked with Novara over the summer and is an Under-21 international for Italy who would be given regular playing time at the Stadio Piola.

Another alternative is a more mature figure, namely Napoli support striker Mascara, who could leave now that they have signed Eduardo Vargas from Universidad de Chile.
