Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino has admitted he would relish the prospect of a Stephan El Shaarawy-Mario Balotelli strike-partnership.

Reports recently have linked the Manchester City forward with a move to the Rossoneri, and the former Palermo man has conceded that the controversial forward would fit in at San Siro.

“An El Shaarawy-Balotelli pair? That would be nice,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “It's not up to me to choose players though.

“For now, I am enjoying them playing together for the national team.”

The 27-year-old also remarked on the win against Torino at the weekend, as well as Silvio Berlusconi's return to politics.

“It was important to win against a tricky team like Torino,” he said. “I have tried to put into practice what I have been taught – sacrifice, commitment and a never-say-die attitude.

“I have tried to do that in the good times and the bad times.

“Berlusconi can return to politics, but we need him. He always gives the players confidence – he is a great motivator.”
