Antonio Nocerino praises Cesare Prandelli for creating an Italy side where “we have fun, enjoy our football and focus on possession.”

The Coach said he would take on a new approach to the Azzurri when he replaced Marcello Lippi in the summer of 2010.

“In this Nazionale we have fun, enjoy our football, work hard and focus on possession,” said Nocerino in today's Press conference.

“It is a very good concept of football, which is confirmed by the results we achieved in this qualifying group.

“When the team has fun and can rely on a precise approach, everything becomes easier. The Coach has to be given credit for creating such a good group with consistent football.”

Milan midfielder Nocerino is expected to start against Northern Ireland in the final Euro 2012 qualifier on Tuesday evening.

Claudio Marchisio took part in today's training session, but probably won't be risked after spraining his ankle in Friday's 1-1 draw with Serbia.

“One of my objectives was to win over the faith of the squad and the Coach. I am very happy to have come quietly into this group and earning my place in it.”
