Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini admits that he fears Antonio Nocerino’s return to Sicily this weekend.

The Italian international left the club for Milan in the summer and he’s found his scoring touch with the Rossoneri after netting eight in 23 League games so far this term.

“I am a little frightened by Nocerino,” Zamparini told Radio Radio. “Usually almost all of our former players end up scoring against us.”

The 26-year-old has developed into a key player for Milan and the Italian international started in last night’s 1-0 loss to America.

“I continue to follow him with great affection and esteem,” Zamparini added. “He’s fitted into Milan well.”

Nocerino was also one of the summer’s bargain buys. As he had just a year left on his contract, Palermo sold him for only €500,000.

“I couldn’t keep hold of him in the summer,” added the Stadio Barbera chief. “After hearing Milan’s proposal he couldn’t resist.”
