The Giallorossi have, according to Calciomercato.com, tried to renew Smalling’s loan deal for both the summer and next season, with an expensive loan offer and an obligation to buy for €18m.

Manchester United and Roma are both preparing for the Europa League resumption next month and the report claims the Premier League side will not allow Roma to use their player in the competition.
