Racing Avellaneda President Victor Blanco says there is no rush for his club to sign Diego Milito.

The Argentine forward left Inter at the end of this season following a five-year spell with the Nerazzurri. He is now a free agent.

Throughout his final campaign at San Siro, the 34-year-old was continuously linked with a return to the club at which he began his career and Blanco remains convinced the move will eventually happen.

“He still hasn’t signed but there is no rush,” he told FCInter1908.it. “Until he comes and signs there is nothing we can confirm.

“I can say, however, that without doubt Diego will be one of our ambassadors for everything that football represents.”
