Italian champions Milan have been quick to dismiss transfer links with Inter playmaker Wesley Sneijder.

Reports this morning suggested that the Dutchman was interested in a summer switch to the Rossoneri, but Adriano Galliani has quashed such talk.

“I’ve read the stories, but we already have two excellent players in his role,” the Vice-President commented.

“Urby Emanuelson and Kevin Prince Boateng are doing really well and we are therefore well covered in that area.”

The Rossoneri official was also questioned about the European elimination of Inter, Napoli and Udinese this week.

“Unfortunately things have been going badly for a number of years now,” he said before this morning’s Champions League draw which saw Milan paired with Barcelona.

“Soon France and Portugal will overtake us in the rankings because 2006-07 points will be wiped out. Unfortunately this is the situation of Italian football.”
