Empoli President Fabrizio Corsi confirms Napoli's interest in Mirko Valdifiori, but says there is 'nothing concrete' yet.

On from today's reports of a meeting between directors Riccardo Bigon and Marcello Carli, the Azzurri patron admitted there had been a rapprochement.

“Valdifiori is a fantastic player and everyone has their eyes on him,” he said, in an interview with Radio Marte.

“If you check his stats, he's played more passes even than [Juventus' Andrea] Pirlo.

“Napoli expressed an interest in the player but there's nothing concrete yet.”

Corsi also said a few words on Luigi Sepe, who is on loan at Empoli, but renewed his contract with Napoli yesterday until 2019.

“He has attitude and personality, and he could withstand the pressure of playing in the Azzurri shirt, but he still has to improve from a technical point of view.

“He's the best goalkeeper I've ever brought in to my squad, and replacing him will be very difficult.”
