The agent of Rafa Benitez says he’s received no offer from Napoli to replace Walter Mazzarri at the Stadio San Paolo.

The latter could leave the club at the end of the season given that he has yet to renew his deal that is set to expire next month.

As rumours continue to pair him with Roma, Benitez is now being suggested as his possible successor given that he’ll leave Chelsea this summer.

“There has been no contact with Napoli for Benitez,” Manuel Garcia Quillon told Radio CRC on Thursday.

“Rafael holds Napoli as a club, the fans and the city of Naples in high regard. But the club have made no offer and, anyway, my client has to finish his work with Chelsea.

“I can’t say what would happen if Napoli call because I don’t know what they would offer. Anyhow, they already have a Coach…”

Benitez, 53, has spent a brief spell in Italian football. The Spaniard replaced Jose Mourinho at Inter in the summer of 2010, but left in December after a breakdown in his relationship with the outfit.

The former Liverpool man opened the door to an Italian return last night after Chelsea triumphed in the Europa League Final.
