Despite the delay in an official announcement, there are reportedly no issues with Fabian Ruiz’s move from Real Betis to Napoli.

The midfielder is due to join the Partenopei for €30m, with President Aurelio De Laurentiis activating his release clause.

Ruiz will effectively be a replacement for Jorginho, who is set for Manchester City, but neither transfer has been officially announced yet.

Given the issues Napoli have had in the past over image rights, there have been concerns that the deal could collapse, but CalcioNapoli24 believes the deal is still very much on.

Quoting sources within Betis, the website assures the Spanish club have said “there is no problem with Fabian, he’ll play for Napoli”.

The announcement has only been delayed as Betis want to book the transfer after July 1, so it will go on the 2018-19 budget.
