Napoli have dismissed suggestions that Fabiano Santacroce will leave the club for Fiorentina in January.

The Italian stopper has been strongly paired with the Viola in recent months after losing his place in the Napoli side.

However, Napoli official Riccardo Bigon has insisted that nobody has made their interest known in the defender.

"It would be hard to see Santacroce join Fiorentina for the simple reason that I am not aware of any offer from Fiorentina," the sporting director noted.

"It would be hard to see Santacroce join Fiorentina for the simple reason that I am not aware of any offer from Fiorentina," the sporting director noted.

"The player isn't really of any interest at the moment and that is made clear by the fact that no official requests have arrived.

"It's true that his name is linked with a number of different clubs, but only on a journalistic level – there is nothing concrete."

The former Under-21 international has also been associated with Scudetto chasing Juventus and struggling Genoa.
