Roma striker Edin Dzeko won’t be fined following his outburst in the aftermath of the Giallorossi’s 4-2 defeat to Sassuolo last weekend.

Dzeko spoke to DAZN following the surprise defeat, in which the Giallorossi were three goals down by half time.

“I keep telling the lads, give me the ball, I am not getting much service at the moment,” Dzeko told DAZN.

“The trouble with the pressing game is that all it takes is one person to be late and it all falls apart. In the first half this evening, quite frankly, we were not playing at Serie A level.

“I think it’s a very exciting style of football, we always want to keep the ball, but if two or three players are not delivering at the top level, then it can cause problems.

“Nobody was at our normal level tonight, especially in the first half. We hope to forget this game as soon as possible, as we dropped three points and need to get them back against Bologna next week, there is no other option.”

La Gazzetta dello Sport state that Dzeko’s comments didn’t go down well with the club’s hierarchy.

However the Milan daily reports that the Bosnian met with director of sport Gianluca Petrachi yesterday, in which the situation was resolved and Dzeko wasn’t issued with a fine.
