Eugenio Corini left a hand-written note to Brescia players after he was fired for the second time this season, replaced by Diego Lopez.

The coach had already been axed in November and returned a month later, as Fabio Grosso lost all three games at the helm, but he was dismissed again this morning.

As the training session was cancelled today, Corini wanted to say goodbye to the team in a personal fashion with a hand-written note left in their dressing room.

“I would’ve liked to continue fighting by your side, but it was not possible… Thank you for all that you gave me (so very much), you’ll always have a special place in my heart.

“I wish you all the best! A big hug.”

It was also signed by the rest of Corini’s staff, who had taken Brescia to promotion from Serie B last season.
