Sampdoria striker Fabio Quagliarella has become the first player to score in nine consecutive Serie A games since David Trezeguet in 2005.

Quagliarella’s equaliser from the spot against Juventus on Saturday saw him match Trezeguet’s feat from 13 years ago.

It comes just three days after the veteran equalled Christian Vieri’s 2002 achievement of netting in eight straight matches.
