President Jean-Pierre Rivère confirms Mario Balotelli “wants to stay with Nice” and they “haven’t received an offer” for Jean Seri.

Balotelli was expected back in training yesterday, but his return to the squad has been delayed as he still hasn’t agreed an extension to his contract, which expires on June 30.

“I’ll only say two things about Mario,” Rivère said at the presentation for Pierre Lees-Melou, Adrien Tameze and Jean-Victor Makengo.

“I’ll only say two things about Mario,” Rivère said at the presentation for Pierre Lees-Melou, Adrien Tameze and Jean-Victor Makengo.

“The first is that we have a player who wants to stay with Nice. The second is that he’s ready to make the financial effort and we’re continuing to work.”

Roma have been linked with a move for Ivorian midfielder Jean Michaël Seri, but the Aiglons patron says no offer has been received.

“I think I’ve always been very, very clear on the subject. Mika is part of our project and to date I haven’t received an offer.

“We have a moral engagement with Mika, at a certain amount. Full stop. He’s on holiday right now, he’s resting and I can assure you he’s with us.”
