President of the Referees Association Marcello Nicchi said officials are “to use his own term, disgusted” by Fiorentina patron Rocco Commisso’s comments.
The Viola patron ranted furiously on live television after his team lost 3-0 to Juventus, protesting that the second penalty should not have been awarded.
The referee did go to view it on the VAR on-field monitor, but stood by his original decision that Federico Ceccherini had fouled Rodrigo Bentancur.

When asked about Commisso’s comments today, President of the AIA Nicchi gave his response.
“All I need to say is that the Italian referees are, to use his own term, disgusted by this behaviour.”
