“I’m here, no-one has asked me to leave,” Niang told Sky after last night’s friendly defeat to Lyon.

“I’ve extended my contract, M’Baye will be at Milan until 2019.”

The 20-year-old also gave his thoughts on last night’s match, and is taking the positives despite losing 2-1 to the Ligue 1 side.

“Mihajlovic wants an attacking game with a lot of running. [He tells us] We should never give up, and you saw that. When we were losing 1-0 we levelled things up and could have won.

“There was a little bit of tiredness, and it was a friendly, but we’re on the right track. You’ll see a different Milan in a month.”
